Accommodation for Adventure based holidays

Adventure Holidays in North Wales | Outdoor Pursuits & Activities

North Wales is one of the UK's most spectacular adventure destinations — dramatic mountains, thundering white water rivers, world-class zip wires and endless outdoor pursuits. Our luxury self-catering cottages sit in a stunning, elevated position on the edge of the Clocaenog forest, making them the perfect base for your North Wales adventure holiday.

World-Class Adventure On Your Doorstep

From the towering peaks of Snowdonia to the rushing rivers of the Dee Valley, North Wales packs more adventure into one region than almost anywhere else in Europe. Whether you're an adrenaline seeker or simply looking for active outdoor days surrounded by breathtaking scenery, you'll find everything you need within easy reach of our cottages.

Zip World & White Water Rafting

Zip World at Bethesda is home to Velocity 2 — the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe — sending riders over the vast Penrhyn Quarry at speeds of up to 100mph. At Blaenau Ffestiniog, Zip World Titan offers Europe's first four-person zip line over the slate quarry. Both are unmissable North Wales experiences within easy driving distance of our cottages.

White water rafting and kayaking on the River Tryweryn at Bala is world-renowned, attracting paddlers from across Europe. The National Whitewater Centre offers sessions for all abilities. Llyn Tegid — the largest natural lake in Wales — sits alongside and offers sailing, windsurfing and open water swimming.

Walking, Climbing & More

North Wales offers superb walking and climbing across the Snowdonia, Aran, Berwyn and Clwydian mountain ranges — from gentle valley walks to summiting Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Within easy reach, you'll also find horse riding, orienteering, fell running, high ropes courses, shooting, coasteering and sea kayaking.

Derwen Fisheries — two excellent coarse fishing lakes — is just a quarter of a mile from the cottage door, with many more within a short drive. North Wales is also home to five world-class mountain biking trail centres nearby, including the legendary Coed y Brenin.

The Perfect Base for Your North Wales Adventure Holiday

Our two luxury self-catering cottages; Bryn Eithin sleeping 6 and Bwthyn Clychau'r Gog sleeping 2, offer the perfect combination of adventure by day and total comfort by night. Return from an exhilarating day out to beautifully furnished accommodation with stunning views across the Berwyn mountains. Our central North Wales location puts you within easy reach of both east and west — from Llangollen and Bala to Betws y Coed and Snowdonia.
