Bwthyn Clychau'r Gog is a beautifully converted 5-star self-catering cottage for two, set in a stunning elevated position on the edge of the Clocaenog Forest in central North Wales. Secluded, peaceful and finished to a luxury standard, it's the perfect romantic escape, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply want to get away from it all together.
Bwthyn has been designed with intimacy, comfort and quality at its heart. The interior is contemporary throughout, with beautiful period features that give the cottage real character — including refurbished Victorian wrought iron beds that add a wonderfully romantic touch. The cottage is super-insulated and triple-glazed throughout, making it warm, quiet and cosy whatever the season. All materials used in the conversion were locally sourced.
Bwthyn sits alongside our larger cottage Bryn Eithin, within a small private hamlet of converted farm buildings. Each cottage has its own garden and private parking, giving you genuine privacy and seclusion. Your host Jane will welcome you personally and will always be on hand to make sure your stay is everything you hoped for.
Set in central North Wales on the edge of the Clocaenog Forest, Bwthyn is perfectly positioned for exploring the region at your own pace. Llangollen, Ruthin, Betws y Coed, Bala and Corwen are all within easy reach, as are Snowdonia, the Berwyn mountains and the North Wales coast. Whether you're planning long walks, visiting castles, dining out in local restaurants or simply retreating from the world entirely, this is an ideal base for a couple.
The cottage is fully equipped for a self-catering stay. A range of bikes is also available for guest use, perfect for exploring the Clocaenog Forest trails and quiet local lanes on your doorstep. Just add a note in the booking form if you'd like to use them.
